Sorry I fell behind again. With Veteran's Day being on friday the kids were home, so I get so caught up just being at home & enjoying a day off from running errands. I still did my bible study homework. I didn't fall behind in that. I just fell behind in posting. Here are the verses I chose on those missing days...
Proverbs 11:27 (NIV) ~ He who seeks good, finds goodwill, but evil comes to him who searches for it.
Proverbs 12:4 (NIV) ~ A wife of noble character is her husband's crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.
Proverbs 13:15 (NIV) ~ Good understanding wins favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard.

Scripture:
The wise woman builds her house,
but with her own hands
the foolish one tears it down.
Proverbs 14:1 (NIV)
Observation:
Oh this is one of my favorite verses. I came across it last year. When I start to get frustrated I fall back on this scripture.
The wise woman will build her home. Her husband & children will be happy. Joyous.
But the foolish woman who is angry all the time will bring her home down. No one is happy...there is anger all around. Everyone's emotions bounce off one another. Which will bring her home down if she doesn't keep the peace.
Application:
Build my home up. Everyone will be happy & want to actually be {at} home. Kick out negativity because it doesn't belong in your home.
My son's usually bail on the weekends & hang out with friends. When I was a child every Sunday we had dinner at my grandparents house. I so enjoyed these wonderful childhood memories. If was the thing we did when we were little & even after I got married & had my children (before we moved out of town). Every Sunday my grandparents house was the place to be.
After we moved away, I didn't even think to host my own little "Sunday Family Gathering". Now that my son's are older & dating the start of them having their own families isn't too far off. I wanted to host our own little "Team Pipkin Family Gatherings" on Sunday evenings.
Last night both boys had their girlfriends over for dinner. It was a successful dinner. I love family time.
I WILL BUILD UP MY HOME.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for bringing my family together. I thank you for my many blessings within my family. My children are truly a gift from you and see them happy fills my heart with JOY. I pray that you bring peace, love, & JOY into my home.
In Jesus Name~ Amen.
