Proverbs 28; to walk with integrity...

Sorry I am really behind. My daughter had a week off of school & I was just enjoying some family time. I have to admit that I didn't do my daily reading until today. I am all caught up.
Here are the scriptures for the past week:

Proverbs 18:13 (NIV) ~ He who answers before listening - that is his folly and his shame.

Proverbs 19: 18 (NIV) ~ Discipline your son, for in that there is hope; do not be a willing party to his death.

Proverbs 20: 9 (ESV) ~ who can say, "I have made my heart pure; I am clean from my sin"?

Proverbs 21: 9 (ESV) ~ It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife.

Proverbs 22: 6 (ESV) ~ Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 23: 19 (NIV) ~ Listen, my son, and be wise, and keep your heart on the right path.

Proverbs 24: 3-4 (NIV) ~ By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.

Proverbs 25: 21 (NIV) ~ If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.

Proverbs 26: 20 (ESV) ~ For lack of wood the fire goes out, and where there is no whisperer, quarreling ceases.

Proverbs 27: 11 (NIV) ~ Be wise, my son, and bring joy to my heart; then I can answer anyone who treats me with contempt.

Scripture:
So today...here is the verse from two versions. The first one is the one I did my lesson from & the second one I really like the way it was worded. Sorry I threw in a third:)

Better a poor man whose walk is blameless
than a rich man whose way are perverse.
Proverbs 28: 6 (NIV)

Better is a poor man who walks with integrity
than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.
Proverbs 28:6 (ESV)

Better to be poor and honest
than to be dishonest and rich.
Proverbs 28:6 (NLT)
{this one is short & to the point}

Observation:
Having three versions of the bible in my home makes understanding the scripture so much easier. The NIV is the bible I mainly use for church & bible studies. The ESV is on my Kindle {it was free} and the NLT is my daily reading bible.

To me the observation is that it is better to be poor and have your walk to be blameless, to be honest & walk with integrity. That just pretty much sums it up. Just be true to yourself.

Application:
To walk blamelessly, to be honest and walk with integrity. Don't throw around how much money I have or don't have. To talk about money good or bad is being boastful.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, I'm sorry that I was boasting about my Christmas money from my parents. It was being prideful. I removed those posts and I am deeply sorry. Its was not pleasing to you Lord. I was not walking very faithfully. I want to be a person who's walk is blameless, I want to be honest and I want to walk with integrity.
In Jesus Name ~ Amen.

How are you doing on your daily readings?
What version of the bible are you using?
If you have a different version of the verse above, would you mind posting it?
thanks...
