My friend Sarah invited my girl & I to her daughter's birthday party. I must tell you...Sarah is "The hostess with the mostest" She is a wonderful host & is so crafty. All the party decorations she made herself. I inspire to be just like Sarah. I want to learn to do this for my children. So here are her creations...
The party theme was Tinker Bell & Fairies...
The party table...
Gluten-Free cupcakes decorated by Sarah herself...
She has a new business called Sarah Bakes...
She bakes gluten-free treats for her business.
Here is the cake she decorated for her daughter...
Centerpiece...
Last night I decided to get crafty and I made some headbands.
The first two photos are the ones I made for the birthday girl...
The one below is the one I made for my girl to wear to the party
but she wanted one like the photo above.
So I made her one quickly before the party to match her friend.
Her's is on a blue elastic headband strap & has purple beads in the middle.
Sadly I don't have a photo of that one yet.
I really like how the beads look on the white fabric.
So that was our monday afternoon. then we came home and hubby bbq'd some steaks for dinner. my girl still has another week off from school. the teenager does back to school on wednesday. tomorrow i plan to hit up michael's to buy some yarn. my next project is to knit my son a scarf. after that the other son wanted a beanie. so it will be a few weeks before i start knitting items for my etsy shop. a little off track from my goal but that is okay.
I've started reading the New Testament yesterday. I have read through the first 6 chapters. It seems like I've read these chapters before somewhere else like doing another bible study. But it warms my heart to read it & hear it again. It almost gives me that confident feeling of "knowing" the Bible. I haven't come across any words of "joy" yet to circle. I know I could probably cheat in the area and just look it up on google search. But then where's the fun of actually reading the Bible & looking for your word to circle.
